Call your two senators in Washington, DC and tell them that we need COVID-19 relief for all workers, including immigrants!
Washington, DC – Yesterday, the Trump Administration released a memo that undermines the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and continues the attacks on Dreamers and undocumented young people. The memo announces the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)’s plan to reject new DACA applications; reject new advanced parole requests except in exceptional circumstances; and immediately limit all pending DACA renewals to one-year grants instead of two—increasing the financial burden on current DACA recipients.
The Interfaith Immigration Coalition sent a letter in support of the American Dream and Promise Act to the entire U.S. Senate and House. The letter was signed by over 4,500 people of faith from all fifty states and the District of Columbia.
This past Monday, #DACABells4Justice rang out in celebration of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the administration’s unjust termination of DACA, in front of the court and all across the nation.
